Using up my Bella scraps

I looked at all my VINTAGE BEAUTY scraps and thought I had better use them up.So my next two cards for this weekend are using the new Bella range. This card was made using a sketch from Bev who is DT member for JUST MAGNOLIA .I loved both these sketches and will be using them again.Silly me though, didn't use a Magnolia stamp, so that I could enter the comp.Oh well..

This second one I did for a challenge on Just Christmas and Birthday Cards which I came across while visiting Linda's blog. I have changed it a little bit, but really like how it turned out.I so love Tilda, and can't wait to own a couple of my own. Will have to wait a bit though.Ros, thanks for the images you sent me.I love them.

Here is the inside.I was inspired by Bev from All the things I love as she always decorates the inside of her cards so beautifully.

Had a bit of a scare health wise mid-week.I woke up with severe right side chest pains.Found out I could have Gall stones. So at 7am in the morning, Ambulance comes to whisk me off to the local Hospital.I don't remember much of it as I was on some pain killers at the time.Got out of Hospital about 2pm.My first ever ride in an ambulance and I can't remember it..LOL..So am off to have an ultra sound in just over a week to see what will happen next.I feel very vulnerable at the moment and rather frightened about when the next attack will be.Very scary and very painful. Not something I wish anyone to experience. This is something that is in my family, as well as women my age being susceptible to getting.Fingers crossed all is OK...then I can relax a little.
It is school holidays here, which means I am on holidays too, because I work in my sons school.Love my job.We were going to go camping, but have cancelled due to what happened.Hopefully we will be able to go another time.
Hope you have all had a great weekend, and here's to a wonderful week ahead. Thanks for dropping by .I love reading your comments.Take care

My first challenge for Sugar Bowl

Well here it is.I have been doing a bit of blog hopping and came across this great site called Sugar Bowl. You had to go by the sketch provided and use Kraft , or if not Kraft, Browns and Creams.I used Kraft as my base , and then used my spellbinders to cut out some flourishes use Kraft CS.I
just don't know whether I am happy with it.Here is the Sketch

Only 2 more days of work and then I am on holidays...yippeeee.We are off camping for a week after work on Friday, so really looking forward to getting away from everything.Catch you later and thanks for visiting

And finally a LO to share

I couldn't help it.I have been trying and trying to wait and leave this paper till the retreat at my place in July, but just couldn't do it.Not strong enough. So I thought, well I will create a LO as an example...does that sound a good enough reason?? Yep, I thought so too. The new Bella" Vintage Beauty" PP, journal card and ribbon has been used here.In the kits there is much more Bella goodness.I have also added in AC thickers, Prima vines and BAJA flower as well as Pearl flourishes...yummy.A little Chippie tree I got from the Scrap convention last year as well as Kaiser pearls.I haven't journalled on it yet, will do so later.I absolutely love how this has turned out. This is a photo of me and my Grandad. He passed away not long after.I really wish I had gotten to know him, as Mum always talks about him with such fond memories. He must have been a very special man. Thanks for looking.
PS...this LO was based on a sketch Kylie put in the gallery in Scrap-pile by Begahuna.

Using We R Memory Keepers

This weekend I wanted to use up some of my We R Memory Keepers paper.I love the TIFFANY'S collection.Used images from both Ros and Leah..thank you very muchly girls for sharing.I so love anything Tilda and Sugar Nellie, Whiff of Joy and , and and and..the list goes on.I have found a new addiction. It just seems to keep going and going this addiction..getting more and more expensive.Oh well, I don't smoke, gamble or drink( much) I can hear you snickering Leah..hehe.

I had to get a tooth out last Thursday, and finally today, I could eat something other than Ice cream, jelly, custard, soup or Yoghurt.I was getting rather sick of it.I can feel it getting better though, so that is a good thing.

Getting very excited about Scrap-piles retreat happening at my place in July.Have been busy, busy, busy re-arranging, organising, making kits up etc.The boys are going away to the beach with their Dad on the Friday/Saturday night.I can't wait now...not long girlies.Only just over 3 weeks. So much to do between now and then.We are going away camping to our favourite place in the first week of the holidays and this week , I have to work every day.So need to really be done with most everything by next weekend.
Have a fabulous week .Hopefully it goes quickly.Bye for now

What a Bday weekend!!!

First up a couple of new cards to share that I made over the long weekend. The first one is one of my Milly stamps from Pink Gem.I am happy with it, except I stuffed it up by using the white pen to highlight her hair.Oh well you live and learn.
The second card is made using a stamp that was sent to me in an image swap at Scrap-pile.It was from Sally. Thanks Sally, I lurrrve this cute little stamp.Would love to know where you got it from , Please.

I turned 36 today, and it started out so nicely. The boys came and snuggled in bed with me, before giving me their gifts they had bought and chosen on their own.Steven gave me a nice pair of pants as well as two pairs of winter socks. Will be nice in the coming months. William gave me two DVD's with Patrick Swayze and Heath Ledger.Goes to show he takes notice of people I like to watch in movies. They are a couple of my fave male actors.
At lunch time, Alan surprised me with our friends up the road coming over for lunch and the afternoon to celebrate with me.All was good till I ate a bikkie I had made the night before.A back molar which i noticed the day before had a piece of filling broken off, started to throb terribly. So after, having horrid stomach aches yesterday, then toothaches today, it hasn't been a real great weekend health wise.Hope to get in to the Dentist tomorrow...fingers crossed.I can't live with this throbbing pain for too much longer. Why oh why do we leave our teeth till they get real bad.I should be better.
I hope you all had a better weekend than I did, although today wasn't too bad.Love to you all
