Wow, what a busy couple of days

I have had such a busy couple of days, that it is only today, that I have finally been able to breathe and take a break. What a flat out December it has been!!!!!
Today I started cleaning up.What is it about after Christmas that brings out the cleaning in you.Must be the " HOUSE LOOKS LIKE A BOMB HAS HIT IT" look on Chrissy day that does it, and I can only tolerate it for so long.
I began in Stevens room and sorted through all his toys, and will keep the special things , to put away for his own children one day, and send on the others to the local Blue Nurses thrift store.Really need to do my room, as there is mould and cobwebs, that need getting rid of.Hope to tackle it over the next couple of days.
I got thoroughly spoilt on Christmas Day -

From the boys: Dark Knight and Hitch DVDs as well as candles and new drinking glasses.
From Alan: The Grease 30 year edition DVD as well as a fantastic new chair for my scrap room.Much more comfy now.
From Mum: A beautiful scrapped RECIPE album, full of all her very special recipes of meals and desserts that she has been making over the years.A new set of sheets to go with my new quilt that She and Justine gave me together. And some yummy choccies.
From Justine and Josh: A new Quilt, a jigsaw puzzle, a new shirt, soaps incense burner and candles, as well as a bucket full of my favourite goodies.
From Ed: A bottle of Kilkenny Cream..yummo
From Jewls: Mamma Mia DVD, a couple of romance novels and a beautiful angel keyring.
From Kristy: Some creams fro myself and Steven, and some gorgeous scrapping goodies.
From Melanie: a yummy 9 pk of Ferrero Rocher choccies.
From SIL's: Scratchies and tin of biscuits, and box of Daryl Lea choccies
From Jaki: a lovely CD tin with a scrapped 12 months calender for 2009.It is lovely Jaki, thanks mate.
From Jacki: A nice smelly thing you put in with your clothes, a tea towel and some beautiful smelling taper candles.

Thanks everyone for all your gifts, cards and love and friendship over the past year.Sending my love back to all of you.
Hoping you all had a terrific day also

It has been a very busy couple of weeks

As well as all the getting ready for Christmas and celebrations , end of school, etc..... this is what I have been doing over the past two weeks since finishing work. The boys asked me to make them a special box, so the first week I did that. Then Justine gave me a desktop calender that had been damaged a little by transit. So I made that for a good friend of mine up the road.I forgot to get a photo though.I used BG Mellow paper on it.

Then my friends two kids a girl and boy, saw my boys boxes and expressed interest. So when I was in Cairns last week I bought two more and Jus had no more instore.I just finished them on Tuesday to give to them before they left for Townsville. So here are some photos of them to share with you.

Today we went and visited the BAT HOSPITAL here in far north QLD, and it just so happens to be only 5 minutes drive out of Atherton.Justine knows the lady who runs /looks after all the bats quite well from her job as a vet.

She has hundreds of BABY flying foxes/bats in huge cages on her property.I never knew but there are four types of flying foxes. Here are some photos

Aren't they cute...and all those eyes looking at us.They ahd just had a big feed of juice. These are all half grown, so really still babies. We weren't allowed to touch them as you have to have a needle so that you won't get a virus from them if you get bitten. Here are some of the young fruitbats, that are all wrapped up and sleeping, except for a couple of NAUGHTIES as Jenny calls them.

But , these little guys we did get to hold the tiny little MICRO BATS....she had 2 albino ones which we all got to touch and hold.

This one is called MAL, and he gets grumpy when picked up, but Jenny wanted to show us the difference between him and the other microbats. Can you see how big his ears are?I wouldn't like those teeeth to sink in either.
Well, it is Christmas Eve, and I am all organised and ready for tomorrow to come.I wish all my friends a very happy day tomorrow , and hope that after the past few weeks of madness, that we can all sit down, breathe a sigh of relief and enjoy ourselves....LOT OF LOVE to you all....xxxoooo

Latest creations

Well, I finally got to sit down last weekend after the stress of creating and being organised for the Christmas classes we held at SP a couple of weekends ago.The first one is the new Rose Moka PP" Equinnoxe". I loved the look of this paper when I saw it on screen, but was a little disappointed when I saw it IRL.Anyhow, all is good, cause before I knew it I had completed a LO.Am really happy with it, all the worrying about the paper was for nothing.

Next is a Note book I altered for Williams school teacher, as she is leaving to travel around Australia for a year.I used the Kaiser "Blushed " Range.

And lastly , a Kaiser Hanging Calender for my good friend and work collegue Judy.Used the Kaiser " Fun in the Sun" PP range. And lots of Prima flowers , Kaiser bling and pearls as well as Stickles.

I am on countdown now , as work finishes for me in 3 days.....12 hours of actual work time..LOL.It is soo sweltering hot up here in the TROPICS right now.I may even hop in the pool for the first time since April.

Need to start getting myself ready for Christmas too.Hope you are all going great and not getting too stressed out with all the goings on at this time of year.
